Your mental health is the priority. Make sure to take scheduled breaks during revision, and allow yourself a good amount of rest at the end of the day to avoid burning out. The brain is a muscle just like any other, and requires rest to be at peak performance.

Some of you will be lucky enough to have your favourite subject as the first exam, and this can be great to start you off on a positive note and take away some of the nerves you had about the exam season. If this isn’t the case, and you don’t feel like the exam has gone well. Do not dwell on it, there is nothing that can be done now, stressing about your performance is of no benefit. Move on and get ready for the next exam. Do not let one loss beat you twice.

If you are really worried about failing, find out what routes you can take. For GCSE and AS students you can usually retake at school, or college. A2 students can either go through clearing to find a university that accepts your grades, or stay at school one more year to retake the exams. Speak to your teachers, go online and have a contingency plan so you are prepared for anything to happen.
